Also, it's a sales-tax free weekend, and there are some opportunities to see art, play music and get outdoors in and around Somerville.

Ignite! A Fire and Street Food Festival After Dark
Fire spinners, belly dancers and local artists congregate in Union Square to celebrate the neighborhood's culinary delights. This festival features street food from India, Brazil, El Salvador and other parts of the world that are represented in the Union Square area. The festival is Saturday at 6 p.m., and the rain date is Sunday.

Black, White, and a Little Local Color
Somerville Toy Camera Festival is a two-month festival that showcases photography created with "toy" cameras, which are essentially rudimentary, low-tech cameras. The opening exhibit of the festival, called "Black, White, and a Little Local Color," opens Saturday at The Washington Street Art Center. About 13 photographers are featured in the exhibit, and the opening reception is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the art center, 321 Washington St. Other exhibits in the festival will take place at the Nave Gallery and the Nave Gallery Annex.

Tax Free Weekend
As a reminder, you don't have to pay sales tax on Saturday and Sunday on most things that cost less than $2,500. So, go out there and buy something you'll regret!
