Ghosts in the Machine: The Evolution of Found Footage Horror

Cinema Slumber Party - a new film screening series in Somerville - presents a special film lecture entitled "Ghosts in the Machine: The Evolution of Found Footage Horror" conducted by Rue Morgue and Famous Monsters of Filmland writer Alexandra West. She will discuss the "found footage" conceit tracing its literary roots to its transformation as bewildering mainstay in modern cinema.

Ms. West will also introduce a seminal "found footage" horror film at midnight.

Tickets: $15 (price does not include midnight film)
