Crews Build the World's Largest Touring Tent in Somerville
A look at all the work that goes into brining "Odysseo," the world's largest touring show, to the Boston area.
Cavalia's Odysseo is the largest touring show in the world, according to its artistic director, Nornamd Latourelle, who said the show travels with about 100 trucks. It also has the world's largest touring tent.
In this video, crews work on the massive touring venue about one week before opening night.
You can see them setting up tent poles, building a three-story "mountain," which contains 10,000 pounds of dirt, stones and sand, and testing a giant carousel that descents from the tent top.
