About Lee

Some locals may know me as "Lee Lettuce"; I'm the Gardens Coordinator for Groundwork Somerville, where I coordinate garden clubs in the Somerville schools, run urban maple syrup production and farmers' market stands, and lead workshops on composting and gardening (among other things!).   I'm also a board member and volunteer at the Growing Center, a communal garden space off Union Square, and a member of Somerville's Food Security Coalition.

I'm a biker, a writer, a cook, a mediocre softball player, a teacher, a fan of local food and drink, and an urban planning enthusiast. With a BA in Urban Studies from Brown University and work experience at MIT and in the Chicago Public Schools, I'm passionate about education and sustainable communities--including Somerville!
