About Dan

For the last few years I have been doing historical research on Camp Cameron. It was a Civil War camp on the Somerville/Cambridge line. It existed from June 1861 until Jan. 1863. Having been born & raised only two blocks away and having a life-long interest in history I was drawn to this. My great great grandfather also went through the camp. I was raised in the house he bought. I will have an article on the history of Camp Cameron in the Somerville Patch. After it runs I will then have an ongoing Blog on the camp and other subjects of local history.

Thanks for Camp Cameron history. It enhances my genealogy records for an ancestor, Peter Dahill, who also went through it.

Hi,

I am working on a feature film that is helping a great cause as well as offering people the opportunity to get involved
with the film. I think this would be a great story to write about and tell people. I just wanted to pass this along. …Or If it’s not too much trouble, pledge on something (they are offering great things!) and if you can also please pass this along to your friends.

If I can help you out with anything or the production can help you with anything, please don’t hesitate to ask.

Here is the link for the film:
