Three suspects robbed and beat a Boston taxi driver early Saturday morning, sending the 31-year-old driver to the hospital, according to a statement from the Somerville Police Department and a police report. The beating took place a little after 1:30 a.m. on Evergreen Avenue in Winter Hill, the statement says. According to the police report, the cab driver picked up the three young men in the Government Center area of Boston. The driver told police that he drove the suspects to Evergreen Avenue, near the Winter Hill Community School, where they told him to stop.
