Police Report: Drunk Customer Goes Berserk in Union Square's El Potro Restaurant
A 33-year-old man allegedly tried to pick fights with customers and employees and broke into the restaurant after being locked out.
Police arrested a drunk customer who threatened customers and tried to start a fight with an employee at Union Square's El Potro Mexican Bar and Grill, according to allegations in a police report. In doing so, the customer, 33-year-old Mario Rodriguez, of 184 Tremont St., allegedly damaged the restaurant's door and broke glasses and other items. Police responded to 61 Union Square, which is the address of El Potro, at about 12:15 a.m. on Feb. 7, the report says. When they arrived, Rodriguez was sitting in the corner, and he refused to give his name to police, according to the report.
