But he added, in what became a refrain in his speech, "We're just getting started." The Business Town Meeting will feature a discussion about the mayor's business and economic agenda.
Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone will address members of the Somerville business community Wednesday at the eight annual Business Town Meeting, hosted by the Somerville Chamber of Commerce. The mayor will speak about the city's business and economic agenda, and there will be a question and answer session after the talk, according to the Chamber of Commerce's website. Afterword there will be networking event at Saloon. The talk starts at 5:30 p.m. (doors open at 5 p.m.) at Davis Square Theatre. The annual B2Green Expo lets Somerville's environmentally friendly businesses show off what they do.
Somerville's B2Green Expo is set to take place April 4, according to the Somerville Chamber of Commerce website. The expo features "green" businesses and non-profits from around the city, and this year marks the fifth year the Somerville Chamber of Commerce has organized the event. It takes place at the Holiday Inn. Check out some photos of last year's expo. The deadline for businesses and organizations to register for the event is Friday, March 22, according to the Somerville Chamber of Commerce. Zonghetti has helped transform Somerville into a top restaurant and nightlife destination, according to the Somerville Chamber of Commerce.
Ray Zonghetti of Somerville's Zonghetti Consulting, who's also chair of the Somerville Chamber of Commerce's Dining & Nightlife Group, will receive the Chamber of Commerce's John W. Fitzgerald Lifetime Achievement Award, according to an announcement from the business organization. Steve Grossman, Treasurer and Receiver General of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, will give the keynote address at the Somerville Chamber of Commerce's 66th Annual Dinner and Awards night, according to an announcement from the Chamber of Commerce. Among other things, Grossman spent most of his career as head of Somerville's Grossman Marketing Group, which has been around since 1910. Casa B, Painted Burro and Highland Kitchen are among the restaurants featured in this year's Taste of Somerville.
Taste of Somerville, taking place Tuesday, will feature some hot new Somerville restaurants, notably Casa B and Painted Burro, along with local favorites such as Highland Kitchen, Redbones and Kickass Cupcakes. The Somerville restaurant event, organized every year by the Somerville Chamber of Commerce, is now in its 14th year. This year, proceeds from the event will benefit Somerville-based RESPOND, Inc., New England's first domestic violence agency. The Somerville Chamber of Commerce is hosting the B2Green Expo on May 3. If you're a business or non-profit who wants to participate, the deadline to register is Tuesday.
The Somerville Chamber of Commerce's B2Green Expo features some of the city's green businesses and organizations, including businesses like Recover, which specializes in green roofs, and Metro Power Pedal, which makes deliveries throughout the Boston area using bicycle-powered delivery "trucks."
