Chaotic Council Meeting Ends Abruptly Over President, VP Vote Tuesday's Medford City Council meeting ended shortly after it began when councilors could not agree on how to proceed with voting for a council president and vice president for 2013. Councilor Michael Marks questioned whether councilors voting for themselves for president or vice president presented a conflict of interest due to higher compensation for those positions. Arlington Man Reportedly Loses $53,000 in Internet Scam An Arlington man came into the police station at about 11:20 a.m. Monday to report that he had lost $53,000 in an Internet scam. In early August, he received an email from a party telling him that he had won $750,000 but to claim his prize he had to send money to numerous locations – in Wisconsin, London and Nigeria.
