Update, March 3, 11:15 p.m.: Joao Correia was found in Charlestown Sunday evening, according to the city of Somerville. ORIGINAL POST Somerville police are searching for an 84-year-old man who was last seen Sunday at around 10 a.m. near Magoun Square, according to a constituent services alert sent by the city of Somerville and the city's Facebook page. The man, Joao Correia, suffers from Alzheimer's Disease and speaks limited English. Anyone with information is asked to call police at (617) 625-1212. 53-year-old Somerville resident Muhammad Ilyas, who does not speak English and has medical and psychological issues, went missing Friday. He was found in New Hampshire.
Update, Nov. 30, 10:35 p.m: Somerville Police have cancelled the missing person alert for Muhammad Ilyas. According to police, he was found in Salem, N.H. The following is from the Somerville Police Department: MISSING Since early Friday, Nov 25th Muhammad Ilyas D.O.B. 12/12/1956 6’ 0’ Average build 10 Charlestown Street, Somerville This 53 year old non-English speaking male has been missing since Friday, November 25th.
