Water Main Work May Discolor Water In Parts of Somerville Between Inman, Union, Porter Squares
The Massachusetts Water Resource Authority warns residents the water could stain laundry.
The following is from the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority: MWRA work may cause discolored water in Somerville On Monday, January 28th ,the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority will be isolating a water main that serves Somerville in support of MASS DOT’s Larz Anderson Bridge rehabilitation project in Cambridge. The water main isolation will not cause any pressure problems in Somerville, but may cause discolored water for up to 3 days in the areas around Webster Avenue, from the Cambridge line north to Somerville Avenue, and west to the intersection of Somerville Avenue and Beacon Street.
