Nearby: Car Stolen in Medford Blamed for Highway Accident

The driver of the stolen car drove the wrong way on Interstate 93 and caused a four-car crash, say Massachusetts State Police.

UPDATE, 2:30 p.m.: The man arrested in this incident, Richard Saunders, of Reading, is wanted by Reading Police for another incident of driving in the wrong direction on a highway. He is accused of driving north in the southbound lane of Route 128, nearly hitting a family of four.Read the story on Reading Patch. A car reported stolen out of Medford is believed to have caused a four-car accident on Interstate 93 in Dorchester Monday after driving the wrong way on the highway, according to a statement from Massachusetts State Police. A Most Wanted Probation Violator, with Somerville Ties, Captured

State and Boston police captured Rubenson Cherilus early this morning in Dorchester, according to state police.

Rubenson Cherilus, 27, one of the top ten most wanted probation violators in the state, was captured at about 6 a.m. Thursday morning at a home in Dorchester, according to an announcement from Massachusetts State Police. Cherilus was last known to live in Somerville and is wanted by Somerville District Court, Middlesex Superior Court and Suffolk Superior Court on counts of possession to distribute class B drugs, indecent exposure and failure to stop for police, according to the the announcement. Class B drugs include cocaine and Oxycontin, in addition to methamphetamine, LSD and Ecstasy, among others. In addition, Cherilus is wanted by South Boston District Court on charges of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and firearms …

Bicyclist in Serious Condition After Alewife Brook Parkway Accident

A Somerville teenager was taken to the hospital early Monday morning with serious injuries after a bicycle crash on Alewife Brook Parkway.

A bicyclists is in serious condition after being struck by a car on Alewife Brook Parkway, Route 16, early Monday morning, Massachusetts State Police said. The bicyclist, a 19-year-old Somerville man, tried crossing Route 16 at the intersection with Broadway at about 12:30 a.m. Monday, even though he had a red light, according to a state police press release. A 2006 Hyundai Elantra driven by a 46-year-old Medford man hit the bicyclist in the eastbound lane. The bicyclists was taken by ambulance to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he remained in serious condition as of 9 a.m. Monday. The driver of the car was uninjured.
