1) Free pet adoption: one week from today On July 30, we featured the story of William and Henry, a cat and dog duo at The Animal Rescue League of Boston who wanted to be adopted together. Well, we can report that William and Henry were adopted, and they've stayed together. Also, a week from today, on Sept. 8, The Animal Rescue League is hosting a free adoption day. From 1 p.m. to 7 p.m., all adoption fees will be waived. It's part of the organization's "Race to Rescue 1500," where the goal is to save the lives of 1500 cats and dogs between Aug. 1 and Oct. 31.
