1) Taste of Somerville Don't forget, tonight is Taste of Somerville, with more than 35 restaurants participating. It's from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Holiday Inn. 2) Somerville By Design: Davis Square Somerville By Design, which has already tackled Magoun, Ball and Gilman squares, now focuses on Davis Square. With hotel proposal and plans to revamp the streetscape in Davis Square, tonight's meeting will deal with "issues such as [the] possible hotel, traffic and parking, redevelopment, and encouraging locally owned and independent businesses." The restaurant will serve things like handmade sausage, freshly baked pretzels, Eastern European dishes, German beer and wine from Germany, Austria and Alto Adige. The first meeting is tonight from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., and the next meeting is May 21 at the same time.
