Report: Witnesses Detain Boy Accused of Breaking Into Cars
The 15-year-old boy had a pair of brass knuckles, and two suspects he was with fled the scene, according to a police report.
Somerville police arrested a 15-year-old boy Sunday night after witnesses caught him breaking into a car on Cherry Street, according to allegations in a police report. The report says the witnesses were walking down Cherry Street, sometime before 8:20 p.m., when they saw three people trying the door handles to cars and eventually getting into a car. The witness shouted at the suspects that they were calling police, and two of the suspects fled toward Highland Avenue, leaving behind the 15-year-old boy, whom the witnesses apprehended near 10 Steeves Circle., according to the report.
