It's an official opening date for a new Union Square eatery.
Get ready for fresh pretzels, hand-twisted sausage, veal Jägerschnitzel, an extensive German beer list and hard-to-find wines from Germany, Austria and Südtirol. Bronwyn, a new restaurant by Tim and Bronwyn Wiechmann, from Cambridge's T.W. Food, opens in Union Square on May 15. Boston Eater reported the news Tuesday, and Bronwyn's Facebook page confirmed it. The food blog lists a number of dishes and drinks customers will find at the new restaurant, which will feature Central and Eastern European cuisine. Boston Eater says the restaurant will be open for just dinner at first, but it will eventually serve brunch and "late-night sausage." We recently learned that Bronwyn, a new restaurant by the folks behind Cambridge's T.W. Food, is expected to open in Union Square this winter. (Boston Eater called it one of "Boston's most anticipated restaurant openings.") The exact opening date hasn't been announced, but a member of Bronwyn's marketing team sent some more information, and some photos, describing what diners can expect.
