At about 8:30 p.m., Super Stop & Shop employees confronted an alleged shoplifter and the alleged open fire and fled the store located at 779 McGrath Highway, according to the report. No one was reportedly shot during the incident, according to the report. It is unclear if anyone has been arrested. We'll provide more information as we receive it.

Seven-person family will stay in hotel for the night, according to American Red Cross.
Update, 9:40 a.m.: The American Red Cross is at the scene on Glen Street. Seven family members are homeless after the Friday morning attic fire. "We were informed by the Somerville Fire Department that seven people were displaced and are going to need assistance," said American Red Cross Communications Director Kat Powers. The Red Cross will provide hotel accommodations for the evening and emergency finances for food, said Powers. More assistance for clothing and other necessities may be given if needed.
