An employee of Papa John's Pizza, driving a car with a Papa John's sign on it, tried to run down a pedestrian outside Parlor Sports Bar in Inman Square, according to allegations in a police report. The victim told police he had parked on Beacon Street across from Parlor Sports and was crossing the street in the crosswalk when Junior Dornevil, 23, of 246 Middlesex Ave., Medford, stopped his green Honda Civic, got out, chest bumped, pushed and spat on the victim, according to the report. Dornevil then got back into his Civic and "gunned the car" toward the victim, only to be stopped by the curb, the report says. A Somerville man was arraigned in Boston Municipal Court Tuesday and charged with beating up an unarmed Army veteran, who was wounded in Iraq, in front of the veteran's wife. James Plunkett, 26, was charged with assault and battery and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon—a shod foot—according to an announcement from the Suffolk County District Attorney's office. Bail was set at $1,000 and Plunkett was ordered to stay away from the veteran, the announcement says. A Natick teenager issued an "obscenity-laced tirade" against police, knocked a detective over and, once handcuffed, managed to take off his right sneaker and throw it at a police cruiser, according to a Somerville police report. A Somerville man is accused of throwing a small wooden bat at a laundromat employee and intimidating patrons of a Starbucks near Porter Square, according to a police report.
A 38-year-old Somerville man carrying a small wooden bat and grabbing his crotch yelled at and flipped off customers at the Somerville Avenue Starbucks, according to a Somerville police report. The man also directed his anger at customers and employees at Showcase Laundromat next door, threatening the laundromat's manager with the bat and throwing the bat her and a patron, according to the report. Police arrested Rahkeen Gray, of 40 Evergreen Square, in connection to the incident and charged him with assault with a dangerous weapon, trespassing and disorderly conduct, according to the report. A group of males also smashed the victim's car windows, a police report says. The incident happened shorty before noon near East Cambridge.
It happened in broad daylight, shortly before noon. According to a Somerville police report, four young men smashed the windows out of a car, a man was hit with a club, three window-smashers escaped in a pickup truck and the victim chased the remaining assailant into a restaurant. According to the report, police arrested 23-year-old Daniel Nelligan, of Winchester, in connection to the incident.
