Seeking Auxiliary Firefighters

Volunteers would serve one night per week.

Editor's note: The following was provided by the city of Somerville: The Somerville Auxiliary Fire Department (SAFD) is currently seeking volunteers, aged 18 and older, for the Department. Interested individuals must have a high school diploma or equivalent, have and maintain a valid Massachusetts driver’s license, and live in the City of Somerville or bordering city or town. All applicants must submit to a background check, and must be cleared by their physician.   Members of the SAFD serve one on-duty night per week in SAFD headquarters, and will be called to respond to emergencies when not at headquarters.  Members will respond to emergencies such as fires, crime scenes, and residential water pump-outs on an as-needed basis.  For more …
