The Somerville Housing Authority helps find housing in Somerville for low- and moderate-income families, as well as the elderly and disabled. Their offices are located at the Mystic River Development in Winter Hill, just off of Mystic Ave. There, or on their website, persons seeking housing can receive information on housing opportunities and apply for them. In Somerville, housing is offered at three apartment developments (Mystic, Mystic River, and Clarendon). Section 8 apartment units with reduced rents are also maintained throughout the city. Nine residence buildings are available for the elderly and disabled.
