Founded in the summer of 1986, the Holy Bible Baptist Church has grown from a small, home-based congregation of less than 20 people to a thriving religious community of between 500 and 1,000 members. The church's success has prompted the need for expansion - HBBC is moving just down the street from its current location at 45 College Ave. to 64-70 College Ave. The new facility is 42,500 square feet and boasts sanctuary seating for more than 1,000 people, a larger chapel, a function hall that holds 300 people, sunday school classrooms and other religious education facilities and 3 large community centers.
