These guys are the BEST! At first, i had my reservations; I was afraid that tehse guys would be movers with a hobby. i couldn't have been more wrong! Rob P., the shop foreman has a long history of fine restoration and they have special art conservationists and installers as well. The business has been around for a while and only a few years ago came under the Gentle Giant umbrella which provides a great oppurtunity for convenient delivery, pickup, and/or storage.
Anyway, down to the nitty-gritty. after having my furniture moved and stored with another Somerville company while abroad for a year, i returned to find my furniture mildewed and my favorite pice, my grandmothers China Cabinet, broken is several places. I was mad at the mildew and scratches but broke into tears when I saw the China cabinet; assuming it was a complete loss.
Enter: Rob! He and his team made this piece brand new again! I was overhwhelmed. I hardly belived it was the same pile of rubbish that I had seen a month prior. If you have furniture or artwork about which you care deeply, please call Gentle Giant Restoration. These guys are BEST!!!
