Consignment Galleries

Flag as Inappropriate

In business for more than a quarter-century, Consignment Galleries rarely advertises its wares. Instead, the store prefers to rely on word-of-mouth and customer satisfaction to attract business. Owner Colin Nealon says he grew up around antiques and later turned this hobby into a business. While originally located on Massachusetts Avenue, the store relocated to its present Highland Avenue location in 2003.

The unassuming store front can be deceiving, yet Consignment Galleries has a lot to offer in antiques and collectibles. The large two-room store is packed floor to ceiling with fun finds for avid collectors, and do-it-yourself decorators. A variety of paintings and prints adorn the walls, china cabinets are stocked with tea sets and glassware and porcelain dolls perch upon wooden bureaus and armchairs.

Don't be shy if you have any questions about an item. The friendly staff will help you find just the right item, provide you with its history, suggest colors and woods to match your décor and even inform you of any defects an item may have.
