Alfresco has become a standby for us, when we're looking for a pleasant meal in our neighborhood. The food is dependably good, and the service is a step up from many of the fancier restaurants now inhabiting Davis. The dining floor is small, but not crowded, and quiet enough that you can easily hear your dinner companions. We've had brunch there once as well, and left feeling happily stuffed. Give them a try!
