Zimbabwean Musician Oliver Mtukudzi Plays Somerville This Weekend

Oliver Mtukudzi and The Black Spirits
Mtukudzi, a celebrated musician from Zimbabwe, will be in Somerville Sunday with The Black Spirits. Check out some of their music on YouTube. The show is at Somerville Theatre at 7 p.m., and as of Thursday, tickets were nearly sold out, according to the ticket website.

The Davis Flea Winter Vintage Market

The Davis Flea will be selling vintage goods, antiques, collectables and other items Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at The Center for Arts at the Armory. Melvern Taylor will perform live music at 1 p.m. Beer and wine will be available for purchase.

"The Art of the Tarantella"
Also at The Center for Arts at the Armory on Sunday, Journeys in Sound presents "The Art of the Tarantella," described as "probably the most recognized form of traditional Southern Italian music, characterized by fast, upbeat tempos and ... twirling dances that vary within individual regions." After learning about the dance, two Italian musicians will lead a workshop in how to do it.

Comedy Sportz
Sort of like competitive improv comedy, Comedy Sportz is a family friendly show, and it's at Davis Square Theatre Saturday at 6 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Winter Farmers Market
The market is Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at The Center for Arts at the Armory.
