Architect Charles Bulfinch, born 250 years ago, shaped Boston. Celebrate his birthday and tour of his greatest buildings during a Sunday tour.

By Jake O'Donnell

When you think of Boston's greatest buildings—the State House, the homes of Beacon Hill, the Bulfinch Triangle—you're thinking of buildings and designs by Charles Bulfinch, the famed architect.

Bulfinch was born 250 years ago, and on Sunday you can celebrate his birthday and tour some of his greatest works in Boston.

Boston By Foot is hosting the special event, which starts at 3 p.m. Sunday and costs $15 ($5 for members).

You will meet your guide at Cardinal Cushing Park in Bowdoin Square. Tickets can either be purchased there or online here. The tour will happen rain or shine, and attendees are asked to arrive 10 minutes early.
