Your Guide: Going Green on Route 16
Alewife Brook Parkway in Somerville will be closed to cars Sunday afternoon for the street festival.
Part of the SomerStreets series of car-free street festivals, Going Green on Route 16 takes place Sunday from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on, well, Route 16, otherwise known as Alewife Brook Parkway.
During the festival, the road will be closed to cars from Broadway to Dilboy Stadium.
This family event will feature live entertainment, free snacks from Stop & Shop, mini golf, Curious Creatures, a craft fair, free swimming at Dilboy Pool, and displays from "green" businesses.
If you were planning to drive down Route 16 Sunday afternoon, you should probably make other plans.
