Walnut Street Center helping victims of domestic violence

Walnut Street Center teams up with Verizon to help victims of domestic violence.

Individuals from the Walnut Street Center Day program have teamed up with Verizon HopeLine in their mission to help victims of domestic violence.  The Individuals from Walnut Street Center are currently hosting a cell phone drive where they are collecting old and broken cell phones, and accessories, which will be refurbished and given to victims of domestic violence or sold with all profits being donated to domestic violence organizations.

Any old or broken cell phones or accessories can be dropped off at 35 Charlestown Street, Somerville, MA 02143 Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm.  More donation sites will be added in the upcoming weeks.

Walnut Street Center, Inc. is a nonprofit, human service agency that provides comprehensive support services to adults who have developmental disabilities and their families. The agency was founded in 1970 by parents who wanted supports for their children, and other adults who had similar needs, in their community.
