Heroin in Somerville? Homelessness in Somerville?

Somerville has a brand spanking new news program. It is called Somerville Neighborhood News (SNN) and is produced by many hard-working individuals involved with Somerville Community Access TV. It launched this past October and we're nearing our 6th episode. We are excited to keep producing meaningful shows for the community but we call on your help. We need some assistance from our neighbors to spread the good word about SNN.

To give a brief background, some recent SNN editions have featured a look at homelessness, a profile of the “Maker Faire” in Union Square, a visit to the Brickbottom Open Studios, a look at what Tufts University pays the city each year in lieu of the real estate taxes they don’t pay, a profile of an innovative new local business, the Union Square redevelopment and the rise of heroin in Somerville. We are serious about the issues that we cover as we feel they are important to our community here.

Keep your eyes peeled every Tuesday at 7pm on Ch. 3 or online at www.scatvsomerville.org/snn/. Please "LIKE" us at www.facebook.com/scatvsnn, "FOLLOW" us at www.twitter.com/scatvsnn, and share our videos with your friends, work, family, politicians, whoever you think! We appreciate all and any help, your support means a great deal.

Happy 2014 and keep on, keeping on Somerville!
Until next time, same bat-time, same bat-channel.
