Boston Free Radio is in the 'Ville!

Boston Free Radio is a member-run radio station reaching out to the world through online streaming. We accept programing of all types, in any language. We also give radio DJs 100% control over their programs. Your music. Your voice. Your station.

Hello all, this is Boston Free Radio Talent Director Matt Lavallee with your progress report.

Boston Free Radio is a member-run radio station reaching out to the world through online streaming. We accept programing of all types, in any language. We also give radio DJs 100% control over their programs. Your music. Your voice. Your station.

The past few months have seen one most exciting development for the station: We now broadcast at a bitrate twice as high as before, and this rushing torrent of ones and zeros means superior dynamic response and sublime clarity across all audible (and some inaudible) frequency bands - a sound so glowing with verisimilitude that a listener unaware might well mistake it for life. A higher quality stream also has qualified us to appear in iTunes' list of radio streams - look in the Internet category, subcategory Eclectic.

While we're at it we have two quite new shows: Tuesday from 1 to 2 catch Dan Burke's "Words On Film" which is just that: long on fresh reviews and industry goings-on, short on gossippy argle-bargle and dribble-drabble. Saturday from 12 to 2 we are pleased to offer Unpopular Music, in which Fred the DJ offers two hours of “freeform” music, skewing towards jazz with some contemporary classical and not-often-played-on-the-radio pop music..

Rewarding, the both of them! STAY TUNED TO THIS STATION!
