Somerville Soccer Plays in State Semifinals Tuesday
The Somerville High School boys soccer team will play Silver Lake for a place in the Division 1 state finals.
Somerville High School's boys soccer team beat St. John's Prep Saturday, taking the Division 1 North title and moving onto the state semifinals, according to BostonHerald.com.
The Somerville team will face Silver Lake in the semifinals Tuesday evening. The game is at Taunton High School at 7:15 p.m., according to the Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association.
If Somerville wins, it will go on to the Division 1 state finals against the winner of the Wachusett-West Springfield game, which also takes place Tuesday.
Somerville made a slash during this year's Division 1 tournament when Thayrone Miranda's bicycle-kick goal against Brookline made it onto ESPN's SportsCenter.
