Triple Play This Saturday, Get Outdoors in Nature, Yay!

September 15th - What a Day, Triple Play!

All events end by 1pm so you have the rest of the afternoon for more!

visit the Union Square Farmer's Market and climb a tractor, eat some maple cotton candy, walk to the Somerville Community Growing Center, climb a tree and stay for a special story-time at 10am... then head on over to Davis Sq and buy some perennials from the Somerville Garden Club!

10am storytime Children's picture book author Margaret Muirhead will come and read from her book.  "Mabel One and Only". Mabel lives in the city, she wants to play and everyone is busy...what will she do? Come and find out! Margaret will also have her book available to purchase.  Event hosted by the Children in Nature Initiative/SCGC Many thanks to Margaret for donating her time. www.thegrowingcenter.org

Union Square Farmer's Market Fair Day-9am-1pm
Come join Fair Day at the Union Square Farmers' Market! Climb on hay bales, check out the tractor, enjoy some local maple cotton candy, and enter our contests! Represent REALLY local agriculture with your home grown flowers or produce, or bring something from your kitchen for the baked goods or preserved foods categories. Judging at 12:30. Music all day! See you on the plaza! 9am-1pm
