Mass Home Sales Up in Mass for August

The Mass Association of Realtors reported on Sept 24th that buying activity remained strong during the spring and summer seasons. The condominium market also saw increases in # of sales and median selling price.

MAR reported the following:

Single Family Homes
# of Sales August 2013: 5,568
# of Sales August 2012: 5,198
Change: + 7.1%

# of Sales July 2013: 5,750
Change: -3.0%

Median Selling Price August 2013: $345,000
Median Selling Price August 2012: $317,000
Change: +8.8%

Median Selling Prince July 2013: $350,000
Month to Month Change: -1.4%

Condos
# of Sales August 2013: 2,269
# of Sales August 2012: 2,126
Change: +6.7%

# of Sales July 2013: 2,297
Change: -1.2%

Median Condo Selling Price August 2013: $320,000
Median Condo Selling Price August 2012: $290,000
Change: +10.3%

Median Selling Prince July 2013: $314,000
Month to Month Change: 1.7%
