Captain Brian Morecraft was the epitome of class and sportsmanship and his effort coursed through his squad.

Team USA also fell just shy of claiming the league championship, losing to back-to-back champs England.

In a match played immediately following USA’s tie with Ireland, England defeated N. Ireland/Scotland, 3-0, to earn a surprising second straight title.

England, USA and Romania all finished the season with 13 points and a 4-1-1 mark, but England edged out their opponents with a +10 goal differential. USA (+8) and Romania (+4) finished second and third.

This was the fourth year of the Massachusetts League of Nations Football Championship and second year in which Sidekick Soccer Academy has been the official provider of referees.
