School Canceled Wednesday in Somerville
Tuesday evening classes, activities and meetings have also been canceled. Tuesday afternoon activities are taking place as scheduled.
Somerville's public schools will be canceled Wednesday due to a storm that could bring around 10 inches of snow to the city Tuesday night and Wednesday.
In addition, all school classes and activities scheduled for after 6 p.m. Tuesday have been canceled for the day, according to an announcement from the city of Somerville. All public meetings in the city have also been canceled on Tuesday evening.
All afternoon activities in Somerville's public schools—those taking place between 2:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.—will be held as originally scheduled, according to the school system's website.
The city of Somerville has declared a snow emergency that will go into effect at 3 p.m. Tuesday.
