Monday: College Fair at Somerville High School

Students and parents from Somerville and surrounding communities are invited to the fair, which is from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Somerville High School's annual college fair takes place Monday night from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Somerville High School Field House.

According to an announcement from Somerville Public Schools, this will be the first year the college fair is held during the fall (in years past it took place in spring). The change was made "to keep up with changing trends regarding College and Career Readiness, and to provide students with early access to a wide range of post-secondary education options," the announcement says.

Representatives from around 70 colleges and universities will attend the fair, and "we’re really pleased with the level of interest in this event from colleges and universities across the U.S.,” said Carolyn Richards, Somerville High School's supervisor of guidance and testing in a statement.
