HomeComing – A Workshop for Your Autumn Season

Event: HomeComing – A Workshop for Your Autumn Season
Date: Saturday, September 29, 2012
Time: 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
Location: Unity Somerville, 6 William Street, Somerville, Massachusetts 02144

I believe the ever-unfolding rhythms, phases and cycles in the great geography of our lives are linked to our inner terrain and how we experience life day by day, season through season.

This upcoming change of seasons holds such potential – as do we, especially if we are available to receive its luminous wisdom. What, for example, can a falling leaf teach us about letting go?

At this time, I am thrilled to offer you a space to honor, in the words of Macrina Wiederkehr, “summer handing over autumn.”

On Saturday, September 29th from 9:30 AM – 1:00 PM at Unity Somerville, 6 William Street in Somerville, MA 02144 I will be offering a workshop entitled, “HomeComing: A Workshop for Your Autumn Season.” You are invited to gather with others and make yourself at home for a few hours.

Through personal reflection, communal sharing, movement, music, ritual and activity you will have the opportunity to:

  • Celebrate the fruits of your summer season;
  • Explore autumn’s bounty-full wisdom;
  • Clarify your vision and create your intention{s} for the season;
  • Receive an offering of tools and resources to support you in living autumn’s harvest throughout the season.

You and yours are invited! Feel free to extend an invite to others you know who might be interested.

This workshop will be led by Meghan O’Rourke LeCates.

Meghan is a minister, ceremony designer and officiant, workshop leader, spiritual director and inspirational writer. She has long felt an intimate connection to Nature’s rhythms, powerfully sensing how Mama Earth’s cycles and seasons are a part of her daily lived experience. Meghan honors each season through the creation of individual and communal ritual and celebration.

Feedback from those who have participated in Meghan’s offerings of seasonal guidance:

“I was able to take three hours just for myself, with a guide committed to helping us get the most out of the passing of the seasons. It was inspirational, moving, fun and insightful. I became more cognizant of the possibilities inherent in being more attuned to the time of year. I zeroed in on something I wanted to change and that became my focus for the time together … I’ve attended two workshops and I like the variety (large group/dyads), the rituals and the creative parts.”

~ Maritzie R., EveryDay {Extra}Ordinary: Your Autumn Season and Living Color: A Workshop for Spring participant

“The Honoring Winter’s Ways workshop was spiritual, rejuvenating, awakening. I felt very inspired by what was shared and what I discovered about myself … I think anyone who is seeking to know themselves more fully and wants to find ways to relate to the changing seasons in life would benefit from participating.”

~ Lindsay B., Honoring Winter’s Ways workshop and Living Color: A Workshop for Spring participant

“Oh, I would absolutely recommend this [workshop], and others like this . . . I can’t wait for the next one, and I have a friend in mind who I think would love it too!  The connection I felt with the other participants was a big part of the experience. I really enjoyed meeting and getting to know them.”
