Home Energy Workshop with Somerville Climate Action

Somerville Climate Action, along with our partner Next Step Living, is hosting a residential energy efficiency workshop to help Somerville residents, landlords, and homeowners lower their utility bills and environmental impact.

Not many people realize that through existing State and City programs, Somerville residents living in a 1-4 unit building can receive a free home energy assessment, free CFL lightbulbs, free targeted air sealing, and up to $3500 in discounts for home energy efficiency improvements.

At this workshop, home efficiency experts will give a presentation about these programs and answer any and all questions you might have about ways to save money and lower your energy use. We'll also hear from Russell Koty, the City of Somerville's Energy Advocate, about the resources available through Somerville's Residential Energy Efficiency Program (REEP).
