Still Room in City's Snow Budget

The early January snowstorm cost Somerville about 28 percent of it's annual snow budget.

The recent snowstorm that hit Somerville during the first week of January cost the city $185,500 for snow removal efforts, according to Jaclyn Rossetti, a spokesperson for the city.

The city's snow removal budget for fiscal-year 2014 is $650,000, she said.

The city was still calculating the cost of earlier, though smaller, snowstorms that happened in December of 2013, she said.
