Somerville's Preliminary Election: Who's Running and Where to Vote

A quick guide to Somerville's Sept. 24 preliminary election.

Residents in Wards 1, 3 and 5 will head to the polls Tuesday to narrow down the field of candidates running for seats on the Somerville Board of Aldermen and Somerville School Committee.

In Ward 1, three candidates are running for a seat on the Somerville Board of Aldermen, and in Ward 3, four candidates are running. In Ward 5, three candidates are running for School Committee.


After Tuesday's preliminary, the top two finishers in each race will move onto the final election, which takes place on Nov. 5.
