Elizabeth Warren and Scott Brown: has chosen Somerville as her campaign headquarters in a senate race the whole country will be looking at.

Denise Provost and Harry Kortikere: Provost, the incumbent state Rep. from Somerville, faces a Somerville challenger.

Timothy Toomey, Thomas Vasconcelos and Mike Connolly: Toomey, another incumbent state Rep., faces a challenge from two people. Mike Connolly, like Toomey, is from Cambridge. Vasconcelos is a Republican from Somerville.

Register of Deeds, Southern Middlesex: Eugene Brune, former mayor of Somerville, is not running for reelection as the register fo deeds this year. This has created a scramble to replace him. Maryann Heuston, Somerville's Ward 2 aldermen, and Maria Curtatone, sister of Somerville Mayor Joseph Curtatone are only two of the six candidates vying for the position. Thomas Concannon, Jr., of Newton, Frank Ciano, of Arlington, Robert B. Antonelli, of Somerville and Tiziano Doto, of Wakefield are also hoping to replace Brune.
