Troubled Jaques Street Address Site of Heroin Bust

37 Jaques St. has been in the headlines more than once.

In November 2010 it was the site of a . In February it narrowly escaped a next door. Last week, 37 Jaques St., in Winter Hill, was the site of a heroin bust, according to a Somerville Police Department incident report.

According to the report, the Somerville Police Department Drug Control and Gang Anti-Crime units executed a search warrant at the address on March 22 with help from drug-sniffing dogs who came from Somerville, Malden and Everett.

As a result of the search, police arrested 35 year-old Eric Stout, of Everett, and 35-year-old Crystal Clifford, who lived in the Jaques Street apartment.

The report says police arrested Stout at about 12:15 p.m. on Derby Street "meeting with an individual that was perceived to be an awaiting drug customer."

They allegedly found $1463.15 in cash when they searched him, the report says.

Then, at about 12:37 p.m., police searched the apartment, where Stout was allegedly staying, according to the report.

The report says police found about 56.2 grams of substance believed to be heroin along with a scale and packaging materials in Stout's room. Also, they allegedly found two pills believed to be Alprazolam in the apartment.

Stout has been charged with heroin trafficking, conspiracy to violate drug law and drug violation near a school. Clifford was charged with drug possession and conspiracy to violate drug law.
