Somerville Woman Accused of Stealing Over $1k Worth of Items From Hingham Store

The East Somerville woman is accused of taking $1016 worth of clothing from a Kohl's Department Store.

Tammy M. Auger, 48, of 56 Broadway St., Somerville will face trial in Hingham District Court on Sept. 5. She has been charged with larceny over $250 and conspiracy. The charges stem from a Oct. 27, 2011 incident in Hingham at 3:37 p.m. when police responded to at 100 Derby St. for a report of a shoplifter being detained by loss prevention officers. Auger is accused of placing a shopping cart filled with unbagged store merchandise inside a truck. The total value of the clothing was $1,016, according to the police incident report.
