Somerville Man Charged with Three Armed Robberies

The 44-year-old Somerville man allegedly robbed three convenience stores, including one on Highland Avenue.

Michael Wallace, a 44 year-old Somerville man accused of conducting three armed robberies, was arraigned in Middlesex Superior Court Tuesday, according to a statement from the Middlesex district attorney.

Wallace is accused of robbing three convenience stores, including on Highland Avenue in Somerville. He allegedly threatened store employees with a firearm during the robberies.

Wallace is also accused of robbing a convenience store in Medford on June 14 and a convenience store in Winchester—the —on June 15, also with the aid of a firearm.

According to the district attorney's statement, authorities received information identifying Wallace after surveillance video was aired on television. He was arrested on June 27 at 219 Broadway in Somerville, according to a .

Wallace has been charged with three counts of armed robbery, assault with a dangerous weapon, making threats, and four counts of being a habitual offender.
