A 45-year-old Somerville man was arrested Saturday evening after popping into a known drug den on Egerton Road, according to police.

The man left his car running and went into the East Arlington residence for about 30 seconds, police said. “Several” recent narcotic arrests have been made from people leaving the residence, according to police, and a search warrant netted another arrest at the home.

Soon after leaving the residence, Dean P. Berniche, of Mason Street, Somerville, was pulled over by an Arlington officer at about 6:15 p.m. after running two stop signs. The officer had been watching the residence.

Berniche was charged with possession of Class B and E substances, after police allegedly found cocaine and prescription pills on him. He was also charged with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and two counts of failure to stop for a stop sign.
