A Somerville man was arrested Friday and charged with impersonating a police officer, according to WCVB.
According to the TV station's website, a couple from Jamaica Plain said they were approached Friday afternoon by a man who identified himself as a police officer and showed them some sort of identification.
The man, identified as Christopher Audette, 33, questioned the couple before getting into a black Charger with New Hampshire license plates and leaving, WCVB says.
Police issued an alert for Audette, and at about 11 p.m. Friday a Boston Police Youth Violence Strike Force officer arrested the man at Columbia Road and Geneva Avenue in Dorchester, the TV station reports.
Audette was also charged with operating under the influence of drugs, reckless operation of a motor vehicle and disturbing the peace, WCVB reports.
A man named Christopher Audette, then 32 and listed as living in Dalton, N.H., was arrested in Somerville on April 26, 2011 and charged with drug possession with intent to distribute, according to a police booking log posted on Somerville Patch.
