Police: Three Arrested on Heroin Charges

The arrests stemmed from an ongoing investigation, police said.

An ongoing investigation by Somerville Police’s Drug Control Unit led to the arrest of three out-of-towners last week on heroin charges, according to the police report.

As a result of the investigation, police made a motor vehicle stop at about 1:35 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, at Broadway and Wheatland Street in East Somerville because they had reasons to believe that there was heroin in the vehicle, according to the report.

A male and two females were arrested, Ryan Kanode, 25, of 11 Crescent Hill, Wakefield, Jessie Peloquin, 23, of 102 Greenacre Road, Westwood, and Lauren Marie Stefano, 28, of 75 Palmer St., Quincy, and charged with possessing and distributing a Class A drug (heroin), being in the presence of heroin and conspiracy to violate a drug law, police said.
