Police Seek Suspect in Supermarket Sexual Assault

The alleged indecent assault took place in a supermarket on Sept. 3. Somerville police are seeking information about the suspect.

The Somerville Police Department Friday released the photo of a suspect accused of sexually assaulting an 18-year-old woman while she was shopping at a local supermarket on Sept. 3, Labor Day.

Police are seeking information about the suspect. Anyone with information can call (617) 625-1600.

Though police did not say what supermarket the alleged assault took place in, based in the photo it looks like it may have been .

Somerville Police Seek to Identify Assault Suspect

SOMERVILLE_ Somerville Police are investigating an incident that occurred at about 6:00 p.m. on Labor Day, September 3rd, at a local supermarket.  A dark skinned white male, approached an 18 year old female from behind and indecently assaulted her as she was shopping.  The suspect then quickly left the store, leaving the area on a dark colored mountain bicycle toward Union Square. 

The victim described the suspect as a dark skinned white male, 30-35 years of age, approximately 6-00 tall, average build, short dark hair and had no facial hair.  He wore a large white tee shirt which the victim described as a painter's tee-shirt.

The suspect is described twice in the text as a dark skinned white male, so why is the photo not a white male?
