Police Report Indicates Storyteller Broke Into East Broadway Frame Shop
The Somerville man allegedly tried to fool police with a fib, but it didn't work, according to a police report.
On Feb. 12, at about 6:30 p.m., Somerville police responded to an alarm at PSG Framing Shop on Broadway in East Somerville, according to a police report.
When police arrived, they found one of the doors open, and inside was a man holding a flashlight and opening what appeared to be a tool box, the report says.
The man, 47-year-old Ailton Ornelas of Somerville, told police he was working for the owner of the shop, Carlos, and was planning to meet Carlos there, according to the report.

However, the report says the responding police officer knows the shop's owner—in particular, he knows the owner's name isn't Carlos.
Police headquarters called the real owner, who said he didn't know anyone named Ailton Ornelas and that no one named Carlos works at the shop, the report says.

Police arrested Ornelas and charged him with breaking and entering.
After the arrest, officers secured the building, according to the report.
