Officer Nearly Gets 'Happy Ending,' but 'No Boom Boom,' at Massage Parlor, Says Report

A 42-year-old woman at a Highland Avenue massage parlor was arrested and charged with providing sexual conduct for a fee.

The city closed a massage parlor on Highland Avenue last week after an undercover police officer nearly received a "happy ending" during an investigation into alleged prostitution at the site, according to an incident report from the Somerville Police Department.

The massage parlor, Lai Lai Spa, is located at 149A Highland Ave, near the corner of Central Street.

In fact, the first result in a Google search for "Lai Lai Spa Somerville" is for a website called "Rub Maps," which has the tagline, "Find your happy ending!" (Lai Lai Spa received three and a half stars out of five on the website, including a recent review from a user called "pressharder42" who gave it a rating of three stars.)

According to the police report, members of the Somerville Police Department narcotics and vice unit conducted a sting operation at the massage parlor on March 13, at about 3:42 p.m., at the request of Somerville Police Chief Thomas Pasquarello, who had received several complaints about the establishment, which is in the same building as a day-care center.

"No Boom Boom"

The police report says an undercover officer made an appointment with 42-year-old Aihong Han for an hour-long massage, which cost $60.

When the officer arrived at the parlor, Han allegedly told him to disrobe and pay the $60, according to the report.

The report goes on to state:  "Several times during the massage, as the undercover officer was lying prone on his stomach, the defendant, in what was perceived to be an intentional act to sexually arouse the officer, manipulated and fondled his genitalia."

When the officer inquired about intercourse the defendant declined saying, "No Boom Boom," at this time, the report says. The report then claims the defendant performed "additional manual manipulation of the officer's genitalia," and asked for an additional $30 or $40.

At this point, the undercover officer made an excuse to use his cell phone, called the surveillance team and, using a pre-determined signal, told them to enter the massage parlor to arrest the defendant, the report says.

Han was arrested and charged with providing sexual conduct for a fee.

After the arrest, the Somerville Inspectional Services Division closed down the massage parlor pending a hearing before the licensing board, according to the report.

Another "happy ending" bust on Highland Avenue

This was not the first time undercover officers busted a massage parlor on Highland Avenue for allegedly offering "happy endings." In October, , at the corner of Highland Avenue and Lowell Street, for the same reason.

Information from incident reports provided by the Somerville Police Department do not indicate a conviction.
